It's been great working with up-coming Brisbane band, The Royales, on their debut EP and after many months of rehearsals, recording, and post production it was great to team up with mix engineer Bernie Wedrat to pull it all together with great mixes. Bernie has done a fantastic job and put the mixes through the SSL console at Lush Studio. The masters have been sent off now for duplication after Matthew Gray Mastering put the finishing touches on the tracks.

The completion of an EP doesn't just represent solely the 'recording' of music, but the evolution and growth of an artist. This has been the case with singer/songwriter, Jordan Lander.

Whilst collaborating with pianist and close friend Robert Hellberg, each song began to take on hues of a classical influence, which resounds in each note, from start to finish.

It's been a real pleasure and privilege working with Jordan and Robbie on this project and I look forward to the upcoming launch, Saturday 26th November, 2011.

The Royales
Over the past few months it's been great recording and producing with
The Royales. Formed in 2010, The Royales have been busy writing, rehearsing and with influences from U2, The Killers, A-ha and 1969, they have created their sound of Indie Rock & Roll. They have just released their first track Leave me Something for your listening pleasure on their website www.theroyales.com.au Stay tuned with more great music to come..

I'm working with Brisbane singer-songwriter Jordan Lander and we had the opportunity to produce the songs for a short film, Attached, written and directed by Cristina Sword. We had the shoot day at Barsoma in the Valley on Sunday, May 22nd. Jordan wrote a song specifically for the film, Beautiful, which features him and 'his band' with me on Bass, Daniel O'Connell (The Royales) on drums and Robbie Hellberg on Piano. The closing sequence will also feature Jordan's song Cost.
